The Journal of Advanced Managerial Psychology (JAMP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to these standards.
1. Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting to JAMP must ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- All authors have approved the submission and agree with the order of authorship.
- Data presented are accurate, and sources are properly cited.
- Any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
- Ethical approval has been obtained for research involving human or animal subjects.
2. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct
JAMP takes misconduct seriously. Authors must avoid:
- Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism
- Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data
- Duplicate publication or redundant publication
Suspected cases of misconduct will be investigated following COPE guidelines. Articles may be corrected, retracted, or withdrawn if ethical breaches are confirmed.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide fair, constructive, and timely reviews
- Maintain confidentiality of all manuscripts they review
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review if conflicts exist
- Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, not personal relationships
4. Editor Responsibilities
Editors must:
- Make decisions impartially and based on scholarly merit
- Ensure fair and timely peer review
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Handle ethical issues and conflicts of interest according to COPE standards
5. Conflict of Interest
All participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, editors) must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their judgment.
6. Handling Misconduct
If ethical violations are suspected:
- The editorial office will investigate the allegation thoroughly
- Authors may be contacted for clarification
- Actions may include correction, retraction, or rejection of the manuscript
- Serious breaches may be reported to authors’ institutions or funding bodies
7. Retraction and Corrections
JAMP follows COPE guidelines for corrections and retractions:
- Articles may be corrected to address errors or inaccuracies
- Retractions are issued for serious ethical violations, including plagiarism or data fabrication
- Notices of correction or retraction will be linked to the original article
8. Confidentiality
All submissions are treated as confidential. Editors and reviewers must not share or discuss manuscripts with anyone outside the peer review process.
9. Ethical Compliance Statement
By submitting to JAMP, authors confirm that they have complied with these ethical standards. Failure to comply may result in rejection, retraction, or other sanctions.
