Author Guidelines

1. Overview

The Journal of Advanced Managerial Psychology (JAMP) publishes original research articles that advance knowledge in managerial psychology, organizational behavior, human resource management, leadership, and related fields.

Submissions should be theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and written in clear academic English.

All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Only Research Articles are considered for publication.


2. Manuscript Types and Word Count

Research Articles should be 6,000–9,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

Other manuscript types, such as reviews, case studies, or commentary, are not accepted.


3. Manuscript Preparation

A typical Research Article should include the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. Abstract (150–250 words)
  3. Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  4. Introduction
  5. Literature Review / Theoretical Background
  6. Methodology
  7. Results
  8. Discussion
  9. References

Writing Style:

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English.
  • Ensure logical coherence, clarity, and conciseness.
  • Avoid unnecessary redundancy.
  • Proofreading prior to submission is essential.

Formatting Requirements:

  • Prepare using standard word-processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.5 spacing.
  • Tables and figures must be clearly labeled, cited in the text, and each with a descriptive title.
  • If previously published materials are used, authors must obtain proper permission.

4. Reference Style

All references must follow APA 7th edition:

  • In-text citations and reference lists must conform to APA guidelines.
  • Include DOI numbers where available.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness.

5. Submission Files

Authors must upload the following files separately:

5.1 Main Manuscript

  • Prepared for double-blind review: remove all identifying information.
  • Include:
    • Title
    • Abstract and keywords
    • Main text
    • References
    • Tables and figures

5.2 Title Page

Separate file including:

  • Full title of the manuscript
  • Author names
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author (email address)
  • Funding information (if applicable)
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Conflict of interest statement

5.3 Supplementary Files (Optional)

  • Datasets, appendices, or additional materials may be uploaded separately.

6. Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submission, authors must confirm:

  1. The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  2. All authors have approved the submission.
  3. The manuscript fits the journal’s aims and scope.
  4. The manuscript is written in clear academic English.
  5. The manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind review.
  6. All references are properly formatted and complete.
  7. Tables and figures are correctly labeled and cited.
  8. Necessary permissions have been obtained.
  9. Authors agree to the journal’s publication ethics.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The submission is an original work and has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
  • All authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to this journal.
  • The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of the Journal of Advanced Managerial Psychology.
  • The manuscript is written in clear academic English and has been carefully proofread.
  • The manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind review, and no author-identifying information is included in the main document.
  • A separate Title Page containing author information has been prepared and uploaded.
  • The title, abstract, and keywords accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
  • All references cited in the text appear in the reference list and have been checked for accuracy.
  • All tables and figures are properly labeled and cited in the text.
  • Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted material included in the manuscript.
  • The authors agree to comply with the journal’s publication ethics and editorial policies.
  • The authors understand that an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 100 is required only after acceptance. For details, please refer to the Publication Fees page.
